Examination Results

Our exam results for 2009 have been compiled and, following on from the successes of 2008, where overall pass rates exceeded 96%, we are delighted to announce another set of excellent student results. With over 750 students sitting their exams our pass rates were as follows:

Level I Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping:  93.4% pass rate, 90.9% with Merit & Distinction
Level II Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping: 92.1% pass rate, 91.9% with Merit & Distinction
Level III Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping: 91.8% pass rate, 73.1% with Merit & Distinction
Level II Certificate in Computerised bookkeeping: 100% pass rate, 96.9% with Merit & Distinction
Level III Diploma in Computerised bookkeeping:  100% pass rate,88.9% with Merit & Distinction
Level III Diploma in Payroll Management:  100% pass rate, all with Merit & Distinction
Level III Diploma in Small Business Financial Control: 100% pass rate, all with Distinction

In general, all students who completed the full course of study, and successfully attempted the Mock/Past Exam Papers did exceptionally well.

We are fully confident that these excellent results will continue, and indeed improve, and hope that you will be part of our success.”

ICB Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigeous Training Provider of the Year award at the ICB International Conference. We would also like to congratulate our student, Shirley Atterbury, who has won Student of the Year.

BBC News - Distance Learning Feature

As a college offering distance learning courses we were dismayed (although not shocked) by a report that appeared to show some of the tactics used by other so-called Distance Learning providers. The BBC feature on ‘Breakfast’ (Sat 22 May) clearly pointed out that the majority of students receive an excellent tutorial service and are happy their college.
