The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the worlds largest professional accounting body, offers a qualification for accounting technicians - Certified Accounting Technician (CAT). The examination structure, leading to the award of ACCA Certified Accounting Technician, comprises three levels: Introductory with two papers, Intermediate with two papers, and advanced with five subjects. The three levels are the equivalent in standard to NVQ levels 2, 3, and 4.

Examinations are held twice a year - June & December - throughout the UK and in many centres around the world. There is no time limit to complete the range of examinations necessary for you to obtain the ACCA - Accounting Technician Qualification.
