For the second year in a row, one of our tutors has been awarded ICB Tutor of the Year, which is further proof that our tutorial services are of the highest quality. Brian McVean received his award on Monday 9th December from HRH Prince Michael of Kent at the very impressive Lancaster House, London.

Brian has worked for Ideal Schools for over 22 years and his contribution to the overall running of our tutorial services is invaluable, where his experience in helping students through their course work contributes greatly to our high pass rates. Dealing predominantly in the bookkeeping side of things, Brian’s true specialities are the computerised elements, where he has written and updates the majority of the course materials. “”We have a very strong tutorial team and to have been chosen for nomination by the college was very pleasing, to have actually won the award left me slightly speechless. I genuinely love what I do and have built up some great relationships with students over the years. When you hear of student successes and know that you have played a small part of that is most gratifying, indeed, I’m probably just as delighted as the student when the good news comes through.

This year has seen our college celebrate its 30th year in existence so to have won this in such a special year is great for us all here, not just me. Here’s to the next 30 years and thank you to all students who work tirelessly on their course work, ensuring our pass rates remain as high as they are.”
