Ideal Schools Founder, Elias van den Akker, talks to The Herald about his retirement
As was recently reported both on our site and elsewhere, our college recently celebrated forty years in business. Off the back of this milestone event, we are undergoing some restructuring. Brian McVean has taken on the position of Managing Director and Scot van den Akker has become Chairman of the company. The main change, however, has been the retiral of our founder, Elias van den Akker.
Elias, known as Al, was interviewed by Kristy Dorsey of The Herald about his business and what the future holds.

The new management team are looking forward to further developing the organisation in the future, while continuing to employ the learner-focused techniques so typical of Al’s way of working, where we take a genuine interest in each student and do our best to assist them in achieving success.
