What is Hey Monika?
Hey Monika is an AI-powered work experience simulation platform, the first of its kind in the UK bookkeeping and accounting sector. It gives qualified professionals realistic, safe, structured practice in a simulated environment, allowing users to develop confidence while applying their knowledge.
The platform operates in two modes
- Scenario Mode: Users work end-to-end with realistic AI-generated clients, each with a name, a business type, a personality, and real accounting problems. Users request documents, go into live Xero accounts, reconcile data, and respond to client queries. The scenarios are deliberately messy, just like real client work.
- Challenge Mode: Built in response to direct feedback from accountancy practices, this mode isolates specific technical skills including bank reconciliations, working papers and year-end adjustments, and takes users from basic through to advanced, with immediate feedback and an AI mentor throughout.
At any point, users can consult Monika, an AI mentor trained on UK accounting rules, for the kind of support they would normally need a colleague or manager to provide.
